Who this covers

This policy applies to the custom visuals for Microsoft Power BI published by Present Place Designs, trading as Baztec, and to this website at presentplacedesigns.com.

Data handled by our visuals

A Power BI custom visual receives only the data that you, as the report author, choose to place into its fields. Our visuals use that data solely to draw the visual on screen within your report session.

Specifically, our visuals:

• do not send data to us or to any third party;
• do not contact any external server or web service;
• do not store data outside the Power BI report itself;
• do not use cookies, local storage or any other browser storage;
• do not include analytics, telemetry or advertising components.

Our visuals declare no privileges in their capabilities definition, which means Power BI does not permit them to access external services or download resources. Data placed into a visual remains under the control of your organisation and is governed by your own Power BI and Microsoft 365 agreements.

This website

This site is a small set of static pages. We do not set cookies, run analytics or build profiles of visitors. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes; these are handled under the provider's own policies and are not used by us to identify individuals.

The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads. That request is subject to Google's privacy policy.

If you contact us

If you email us for support or about licensing, we hold your message and email address only for as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of the exchange. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your details to anyone else.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it erased. As we hold very little — in practice only support correspondence — these requests are usually straightforward. Email krystal@presentplacedesigns.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how our visuals handle data will be noted in the release notes for the affected visual.
